Unlike traditional UV-C, far-UV, at 222nm, cannot penetrate the top layer of skin or tear layer of the eye, making it the first UV technology safe for human exposure. Vive’s patented nanofilter technology adds an additional layer of safety, ensuring only human-safe 222nm light is transmitted through the unit’s patented 3-bulb design.
