Jitsuin to Showcase Digital Security Twins for IoT at RSA Conference 2020
Jitsuin joins Ping Identity’s Technology Alliance Program to give enterprise and industrial users greater visibility of supply chain risks in the digital lifecycle of smart connected things
CAMPBELL, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#IoTsecurity–Jitsuin, a leading provider of collaborative risk management for enterprise and industrial IoT, will present its Digital Security Twins for IoT SaaS solution at RSA Conference 2020. Digital Security Twins extend trust in Digital Twins by proving data quality, providing regulatory compliance and enabling deeper collaboration with the cybersecurity supply chain to assure secure and intelligent operations.
Jitsuin also announced that it has joined the Ping Identity Technology Alliance Program to extend Identity and Access controls into IoT using the Digital Security Twin, providing greater visibility and control of supply chain risks throughout the digital lifecycle of smart connected Things.
According to Dominic Trott, IDC’s Research Director for Security and Privacy in Europe, “The Digital Twin concept is a priority technology trend for organizations incorporating both IT and OT. IDC’s Worldwide IoT 2020 FutureScape report predicts that, by 2025, 60% of discrete manufacturers will be connecting digital twins to their Digital Innovation Platforms, targeting a 25% reduction in cost of quality through improved efficiency with predictive asset maintenance and interaction between supply chain partners. Collaborative trust, security and resilience will be key to enabling transformations.”
Traditional Digital Twin platforms enable smarter business operations with a focus on telemetry and data, to derive insight for the digital enterprise. But how do all the service APIs consuming that data know the data can be trusted? How do they know the data they’re acting on is produced by well patched and maintained devices and compliant with corporate data and access policies? The Digital Security Twin is the answer.
Digital Security Twins enable moment of truth decisions to be made in compliance with organization-wide policies; especially important when physical consequences are at stake. But security of connected Things is a team sport involving many collaborators in the digital supply chain: Thing Makers, System Integrators, Owners, Maintainers and Auditors. Jitsuin’s Digital Security Twin architecture makes IoT identity secure with a permanent, consensus driven record of “when who did what to a Thing,” including a shared service history that transparently records important details of provisioning, updates, vulnerabilities, identities, and configurations, while continuously proving compliance. Working with Ping Identity, Jitsuin adds Identity and Access Controls to the Digital Security Twin following Zero Trust best practices for IoT.
“Ping Identity is proud to provide industry-leading identity and access management solutions to ensure the right people have access to the right things at the right time,” said Bernard Harguindeguy, CTO at Ping identity. “By partnering with Jitsuin, Ping is able to ensure our customers also have the full scope of visibility and control they need when it comes to IoT devices.”
Security compliance of connected devices in essential service delivery affects many industries including energy, infrastructure, transportation, healthcare, insurance, communications, and digital platforms. Jitsuin Archivist already helps achieve 48 of the 108 security sub-functions of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, while the California Senate Bill 327 and the Network Information Systems Directive in Europe continue to gather momentum.
Jitsuin CEO Krishna Anne added, “Ping Identity customers on a journey of digital transformation can use Jitsuin’s Digital Security Twins to reduce security risk, collaborate with their suppliers and prove compliance with emerging NISD and SB 327 regulations.”
Jitsuin’s flagship solution, Jitsuin Archivist, is the industry’s first collaborative IoT security and assurance platform for enterprise and industrial clients. Leveraging distributed ledger technology (DLT), Jitsuin enables greater visibility of supply chain risks in the digital lifecycle of connected devices across a distributed set of actors. The solution is currently available for Microsoft Azure IoT Hub and Azure IoT Central in the Microsoft Azure Marketplace.
Jitsuin will demonstrate the technology at RSA Conference 2020 in Ping Identity’s Booth 427. Theater times are Tuesday, February 25th at, 10:30am, Wednesday, February 26th at 1:30pm and Thursday, February 27th at 11:00am.
