Box Office Buzz - 7/13/17 Thu, 13 Jul 2017 20:49:54 +0000 Box Office Buzz - 7/13/17 Box Office Buzz - 7/13/17 KOLR >> chris: hello movie maniacs. new at the box this weekend is "war of the planet of the apes." after the apes suffer unimaginable losses cesar wrestles with darker instincts and begins his mythic quest to avenge his kind. andy serkis leads the apes as cesar. i love that guy! the extremely under rated and very versatile woody harrelson is in the cast. if you're keeping track, "the planet of the apes" started in 1968, yay, they're older than me. this is the eighth feature film of the apes franchise and the third installment of the newly rebeated "the planet of the apes" franchise. there is your "the planet of the apes" education of the day. getting tons of buzz since the sundance film festival, slated for springfield's release is "the big sick." a couple deals with their cultural difference as their relationship gross. this is based on kumail janjiani and emily gordon, his real life wife, how they met and fell in love. number one at the box, of course, "spider-man: homecoming"! with not only $117 million domestically. but $250 million world wide! i have one word for spider-man, wow! in this version of the web crusader, spidy is incorporated into the avenger world. the young and talented tom holland is perfect in the role of peter parker. this flick is fun, fast, and the effects are supercool! the story is well done, easy to follow. and come on, we've seen quite a bit of iron man/tony stark. i just love this film. and i highly recommend it. it's great for pretty much the entire family as well. new on blu-ray this week is "the fate of the furious." when a mysterious woman seduces dom into the world of terrorism and betrayel of those closest to him, they'll face a trial they've never tested before. i love every "fast & furious" flick except "tokyo drift," which does not count. they're fast, so furious and fun. i truly miss paul walker. i love the outdoor movies at founders park. friday night is family night with the original "beauty and the beast." and saturday night is "la la land" with "la la land." for tons more info and how to get your free tickets. let me know what you're excited about. i love talking to you on facebook. i'll see you on there soon along with the occasional instagram and twitter. find me via #boxofficebuzz. i have a pair of tickets for you to see a movie of your choice for free at the b & b theatres ozark/nixa 12. just send us an e-mail. in the subject line, put "box office
